I've been wishing people at work a happy spring fertility celebration. Y'know, the rabbits, the eggs... Fertility symbols. And the weird way that the date that the holiday is celebrated on is determined by the lunar calendar... How pagan is that?
A couple of nights ago I saw part of some new documentary about the Shroud of Turin, where some guy is claiming that the image was burned into the cloth by radiation - somehow proof of the resurrection. That can't be true, of course, because everyone knows that would have caused Jesus to return as a 250-foot, rampaging monster that would have smashed Jerusalem and gone off to live on Messiah Island.
Then again, maybe that's what some of that Revalations clap-trap is really about.
