Two kinds of people.

Those that worry about the long term and those that worry about the short term.

This cartoon came up on my New Yorker Cartoon Desktop Calendar yesterday. This is what the weather service says for Milwaukee today:

High temperatures today will struggle to reach 3 to 5 below... despite plenty of sunshine. Continued gusty northwest winds of 10 to 20 mph will produce wind chill values around 30 below throughout much of the day.

High pressure will sink south into Missouri for tonight. Clear
skies and lighter winds will allow temperatures to plummet into
the 20s below zero in most places... except around 15 below zero
near the lake. Some locations in the Wisconsin River Valley may
reach 30 below. Wind chills will range from 35 below to 45 below.

Air temperatures will finally rise above zero Friday afternoon as
warmer air begins to surge north. Wind chills will improve to
between 15 and 25 below by Friday afternoon. A Wind Chill Advisory
may be needed for Friday afternoon after the wind chill warning
expires.

“Long term I’m worried about global warming—short term, about freezing my ass off.” (Two men in wintercoats on sidewalk.)

I so hate proving that I'm human: p7crzu
