And now, in my continuing effort to show cool I am (and, not coincidentally, provide content to this sadly neglected little corner of the world), I give you the last ten songs played on my iPod:
Hip Huggin' Mini!
Sunny and the Sunliners
Range Life
Pavement
Masters Of War
Bob Dylan
Soldier
Criminal Class
Tarzan
Glenn Reeves
Sliver (1990 Boombox Demo)
Nirvana
Edward Brown
Butterglory
Cat on a Hot Foam Board
New Dimensions
New Black Tooth
Califone
Un Po d'Ironica Adda
Ennio Morricone

You are cooler than me, but I always knew that.
* If You Don't Give Me What I Want - Blind Boy Fuller
* Break My Body - Pixies
* Voodoo Princess Terror - Hawaii Samurai
* Marie - Manhattan Brothers
* Over Under Sideways Down - Boiled In Lead
* Gu - PK14
* Down to the Wire - Arcwelder
* Ani Kuni - Madeleine Chartrand
* Guaguanco - Tito Puente
* 'Cause You Don't Know Me - Peawees
This is how much cooler than me you are:
I don't have an iPod.
Mark-
You don't know it, but you're ten times cooler than me - and not just 'cuz I don't recognize the lion's share of those songs and artists, but because they ALL sound intriguing to me.
Robb-
Yes, but you introduced me to the wild world of Billy Nayer!
J.
You're awful kind. Of course, I've never believed anything you've ever said to me, ever ever.
I don't know the majority of yours either; and I'm glad I didn't have a mouthful of milk when I saw that New Dimensions title. (Googling, I found out it was a surfer thing. Without any context, it sure was funny.)
And I guess I should 'fess up about my iPod:

512mb, no display. On/off, volume up/down, fast forward/rewind/skip, random-play or not. But it doubles as a thumb drive in a pinch.
