"Shopping is easy and much can be bought With some money you get from somewhere But who makes the Sundays like stone And decides where the new roads will go" -Slighty South Of The Border" The Mekons
Feels like a Sunday doesn't it? Well, truth to tell you, it's Monday, but it's a holiday here in the US, so it's like a lazy old Sunday full of the terrifying blank slate of an unstructured day.
There's so many productive things I should be doing, but it's A) a beautiful sunny day outside and B) it's butt-whomping hot, so my ambition to do anything that's not directly fun is pretty much absent.
Welcome to a summer Sunday (Monday, whatever). Bring beer (preferably Weiss with lemon wedges) and stay all day.

Hello!
I've been lurking around your blog for quite some time now. I actually found it because about three years ago I was googling to see if anyone had ever written anything about Sundays and music.... and what do you know - I found your blog and to this day one of my absolute favorite blog entries ever written... I think I read it about 1000 times. You started it out with that same quote from The Mekons. I hadn't thought about it again for quite some time now....but today, today was one of those dreary, rainy Sundays and I really wanted to read it again....however, I couldn't find it anymore. Any chance you will ever bring it back?? I absolutely adore that piece of writing :)
