Now We Are 8

| Comments (2)

In all of the excitement about posting every day for a month, I forgot to mention that this blog was born 8 years ago yesterday.

i just finished getting all of the archives input into this Movable Type iteration of the blog (except for the handful I posted in Bloxsom about three years ago), which was sort of a pain in the ass, because more than the first 1000 entries were posted using Blogger (I think I was user 196 there).

Anyway, here's how it all started if you're curious:

It's been a good long ride. I've made some tremendous pals through this blog, and hooked up with a few long lost chums. I've sired two children, bought a house and moved through something like four regular gigs since I started this thing up.

A plus I forgot to mention a few days ago about what positives NaBloPoMo has brought me is that it spurred me to retrieve the archives.

Yes, it's been a good long ride - but I intend to keep on riding, damn you! I plan on rocking on the porch at the Old Punx Home, making posts from my laptop or wristwatch or whatever it is those damn kids come up with next
