My grizzly rock 'n' roll bacchanal is over and I appear to have suffered no permanent damage, though I seem to be fighting off some sort of bug that makes me want to sleep whenever I'm awake, much to the detriment of my home and work lives.
Ah, well, I have today off, so we'll see if I can shake this damned thing. Then, it's back to the gym!
The whole opportunity to return to something that was such an integral part of my life two decades ago was something very special. It's great to reconnect with pals (old and newer) and see where life has taken all of us - and to remember how great the good times were.
It's easy to forget the screaming hell that the band (and my 20s) could be, but, fresh off my grand reunion, those dark times get remembered with the gauzy view of a lens covered with vaseline.
We sure had a lot of fun, and I wouldn't trade any of it - even the miserable times - for a goddamned thing.

And I want you to know, Dan, that "Things I've Done Before" was one of the songs played.
