Snow Day!

| Comments (1)
It's coming down
Snow lays on the chainfields
There's a blessing on the ground
It's coming down
If your lanes are crammed with children
There's a blessing on your town
On a lucky Monday, Mrs. Braintree
All your lanes are waxen silver
And the stores are loot for vagabonds
It's coming down
Go home! Go home and take a snow day, Mrs. Braintree!

Oh, man! The local public radio station had The New Standards (which includes Dan Munson from Trip Shakespeare) perform at the Fitzgerald theatre, with a few (like, 15 or so) of their friends - including most of the former members of the Suburbs and both the brothers Wilson. Misha was just about the first one to get tickets - we were third row, center. Matt and Dan both had turns at the mike for a couple of songs each - they still have that old rapport on stage. God, it was beautiful! Anyway, the one Tripsters song they played was Snow Days. I almost cried.
