Dilemma

bumper08.jpgThis isn't exactly an earth-shaking issue, but it's been flummoxing me for a few days now.

Like a good liberal/progressive should, I put a Kerry sticker on the bumpers of my van and my wife's car in the months leading up to the election, sort of an ABB (Anyone But Bush) move. Lynn took hers off the day after the election (she also wore a black ribbon on her shirts and blouses for the next few days, but that's another story...). I left mine on the van, thinking people at least would see the sticker and understand that I knew better back in November. I also figured it would mildly irk my parents, both of whom are so politically different from me that I often consider getting some genetic testing, just to see if the staff at Presbyterian/St. Lukes had maybe mixed babies up and some pair of ex-hippies were wondering how they ended up with this Alex P. Keaton type as their son.

But I digress. The problem I'm having with the sticker now is that with Kerry's recent statements, I no longer feel comfortable promoting him on my bumper.

I'd still like to offer a subtle middle finger to the other motorists (usually driving gigantic SUVs, it seems) with little oval 'W' stickers on their bumpers and windows.

So the question is what should my next anti-Bush bumper sticker be?

Suggestions are welcome.

Well, you could wear this shirt, or turn it into a bumper sticker: http://www.tshirthell.com/store/product.php?productid=374

or any of these:

or maybe just this bumper sticker:

Just a thought. You hippie...

I'm pretty partial to the Yellow Elephant campaign that Jesus' General (Gen. J. C. Christian, Patriot) has been spearheading. But that would really be something to carry around with you, and stick next to the "W" ovals on other peple's unattended cars.

Expanding on the list from Dane, this is a pretty impressive collection:

Yes, although it's vandalism, what's needed is a sticker that can be placed over the Bush bumper stickers to give them a whole new meaning.

Remember in the late '70's when everyone imitated the "I 'heart' New York" (with a heart picture--not spelled out) bumper stickers and then the stickers that were popular were the "I 'heart' my 'dog'" with a picture of their breed of dog?

National Lampoon came out with a small sticker that had a picture of a screw on it that fit perfectly over the heart. It gave a whole new meaning to dog lover. Now that was funny and fun. Plus if you come up with something it would be just like gainful employment...

Y'all seen the 'F the President' stickers up yonder? Same design as the 'W' stickers. Simple, to the point, somewhat obscene...
