The bright fire and hope of autumn is starting to give way to winter's everlasting neutrality.
You know what? Ultimately, I'm not sure I care who wins the election. As I said a while back, I've lived through astounding incompetence and just plain evil in the past, and I'm pretty sure I can continue to do so. Neither candidate seems like they're good enough to totally send the country to hell in a handbasket in four years (and I'm pretty sure that whoever wins will only get one term, unless extraordinary things happen).

Mind you, I will still vote for the lesser of the two schlubs, and so should you (unless you're Jim Lehrer, I guess - but if you're Dick Cheney, what's stopping you?), I just don't know how excited I am. Mostly, I just want the whole race to go away.
