I used to be a process server, and I’m of two minds about this story
Yeah, it something that possibly could have been solved with a phone call, but on the other hand, in my experience, the serving of papers is a mundane experience that most people accept without blinking an eye. The egregiously guilty are certainly one group that doesn’t like to accept service. So are those uneducated about the law.

Guess which I think is the case here?
